VERIFI is an in transit management (ITM) sensor & control system fitted on readymix trucks used by Tarmac. Adjusting concrete with admixture is preferable for concrete control

About

Concrete is managed at the batching plant, but without In-transit Management (ITM) such as Verifi, the producer has no visibility or control of the concrete. When concrete arrives at site it is often adjusted and modified by the driver and site contractor using water, often in an uncontrolled way. Verifi is linked to the producers batching systems and gives real-time visibility of the concrete and the truck throughout the production and delivery cycle, information is also available for the receiving contractor. Currently water is still available to be used both on the truck, up to the design water, and on site where additions may not be controlled. Using admixture on the truck to adjust the concrete quality is preferable to using water as it retains the technical performance of the concrete. Verifi removes the need to add water on site as the concrete arrives ready to use and if needed can be modified using controlled chemical admixture. Savings in admixture cost are an additional benefit

Key Benefits

Maintains concrete quality throughout the delivery cycle and at site Technical performance of concrete is maintained, water additions on site are removed. Concrete performance becomes more reliable, reducing variation and offering potential cement and CO2 savings.
