ZaiNar is a Positioning, Navigation, and Timing company based in Silicon Valley, California. ZaiNar leverages patented digital signal processing techniques to locate phones, vehicles, drones, IoT devices, and physical assets in 3D with sub-meter accuracy. ZaiNar technology is narrow bandwidth, flexible across radio frequencies and wireless protocols, and has no reliance on GPS/GNSS.


ZaiNar was founded by Stanford University alumni in 2017. The team features industry leaders with decades of experience in location tracking and billions of dollars in successful exits including the former Director of Engineering at the world’s largest GPS company, the Lead Engineer at the world’s top performing GPS company, the product guru who cofounded BlueKai, and PhD engineers specialized in advanced signal processing. ZaiNar’s core signal processing capabilities work across any radio frequency and are compatible with any wireless protocol. Dynamic Environments 

ZaiNar’s system self-calibrates. Meaning ZaiNar access points can be mobile and do not require manual calibration. This is critical for environments that are constantly changing and challenging for other RF technologies. This lowers the cost of ownership for ZaiNar with a plug-and-play installation that requires no specialized labor to install and no recalibration.


Dense Multipath 

ZaiNar’s patented phase-based signal processing enables ZaiNar to work in the most complex environments (varied ceiling heights, dense shelving, large metal equipment, liquids, etc.), where signal strength and angle-of-arrival approaches fall short.


Transition Environments 

ZaiNar seamlessly transitions from outdoor to indoor and from underground to above ground


Presence Detection, 2D, & 3D Positioning 

ZaiNar can seamlessly switch from presence detection to 2D to 3D. ZaiNar uses multilateration to determine position, so the number of access points that are within range of a device determines whether presence, 2D, or 3D are enabled. With ZaiNar’s self-calibration, additional access points can add and subtract coverage in real time (via robots, tripods, or machinery such as forklifts). So instead of over-deploying for 3D location everywhere, customers dynamically add coverage exactly when and where needed.   

Applications

ZaiNar works in applications and scenarios where GPS, UWB, RFID, BLE and other WiFi solutions do not. ZaiNar’s sub-meter 3D WiFi location enables novel use cases including but not limited to:
