Our CCU technology captures CO2 and converts it to Mg carbonates which can be used to make fireproof insulation materials, 100% fire block plasterboard, light weight readimix

About

Our CO2LOC process has 2 stages: Stage 1 produces magnesium hydroxide, silica and metals from abundant and cheap magnesium silicate minerals. Stage 2 uses the magnesium hydroxide to capture CO2, NOx and SOx from industrial emissions and convert it to magnesium carbonate which can be used in the production of construction materials where its light weigh, whiteness and fire retardant properties add value. The use of this materials to replace carbon intensive alternatives produces further carbon emissions savings and decarbonises the embedded carbon of the construction sector.

Key Benefits

Our technology can generate profits from capturing and permanently sequestering industrial emissions. CO2LOC technology can produce carbon negative alternatives for various construction materials. Our technology is not reliant on CO2 pipeline and CO2 storage infrastructure so can be deployed anywhere. CO2LOC technology produces other by-products including metals and silica which provide additional revenues.

Applications

Capture of emissions from cement manufacturing and other industrial emissions. Production of negative emissions construction materials displacing carbon intensive incumbents.
