I am an Associate Professor in Business Analytics and programme leader for MSc Supply Chain Management and Logistics. I have been appointed as the director of the Centre of Operations Research, Management Science and Information Systems CORMSIS from September 2020, and I have several ongoing research projects funded by EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) and Innovate UK in vehicle routing and logistics, revenue management and cutting and packing. Our research centre, CORMSIS, at the University of Southampton has an established breadth and depth in Operational Research, Management Science and Information Systems unrivalled in the UK, being top 50 in the world for Statistics and OR (QS World Rankings 2020). It spans Mathematical Sciences and Southampton Business School and includes academic colleagues with interests in OR/MS/IS from other parts of the university. CORMSIS applies advanced mathematical and analytical modelling to help people and organisations make better decisions. Our research and teaching covers the whole spectrum of current OR/MS/IS from mathematical optimisation, through business analytics and simulation to qualitative research in problem structuring.
