Climate Change Tech: Co-led development of NRG-COSIA Carbon XPRIZE; Canada's National CC Process; & ConocoPhillips Canada's CC strategy & plan. Co-authored Canada's National Tech Roadmap for CCS; the CANiSTOR and CANiCAP reports (on CO2 storage and CO2 capture, respectively); the Clean Air Strategy for Alberta; & Canada as an Energy Superpower. More recently, I have co-founded a company with a one-step carbon capture & conversion technology that makes carbon allotropes (C20 to C120) from the CO2 in flue gas. At the moment, I am leading the development of an Arctic Methane capture and diversion program. Energy Technologies: I was ConocoPhillips Canada's Sr. Director of Innovation and led their tech skunkworks. I now help inventors commercialize their techs. Materials Technologies: I helped a carbon Fullerene technology become commercially deployed and am now involved in choosing the customers with whom they should work. Innovation: I helped startup > 30 collaborative organizations to spark innovation & tech breakthroughs. Policy: I developed and managed govt's energy incentive programs, the initial oil sands regulations, and 1st climate change regulatory policies in the Americas.
