Umar Nirmal

Umar’s research interests are in the area of tribology advanced composite materials, agricultural waste management, green energy, ergonomics and human factors, humanitarian engineering and new product development. At present, he is a member of Malaysian Tribology Society (MYTRIBOS), Associate Asean Engineers (AAE), International Association of Engineers (IAENG), International Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He had served as a peer review panel for more than twenty different international and national journals. Currently, he is an editor for Current Journal of Applied Science and Technology. As per today, he managed to secure research grants amounting USD 230,887.57 (RM954, 140.00). Umar Nirmal have published forty-nine international ISI and SCORPUS journal articles, nine international conferences proceedings, four book chapters and a patent. Being awarded by Sciencedirect (Elsevier) in year 2014-2015 for the most cited research works, Umar Nirmal holds a mind-blowing citation score of 1097, h-index score of 16 and i10-index score of 18 respectively.
