About

Concrete is an employee engagement and task management application that uses what we call "social ops". This means that any activity entered into the platform - task, story, chat, file, form, can be given a timeframe, which allows it to be viewed in a calendar. Subject to rights, any user can be invited to the "event" and can follow its status. As nearly everything in business has a deadline, using a time-based methodology for all content in Concrete dramatically improves how team members and teams collaborate. This also has a positive impact on platform adoption and usage, as there is always a reason to be logging back in to keep track of the initiatives you are involved in. Historically, businesses have used email and chat technologies like Teams, Slack etc to create chat groups, but the calendaring of activity and the activity itself - campaigns, education, tasks and directives are handled elsewhere. Concrete ties the chat with the activity. As a result of this, Concrete is ideal for creating a "single lens" for a deskless work team that needs a single and simple view of their work for the day. The "daysheet" now becomes far more than just a calendar, allowing the user to click through to the initiative and chat with team members around the initiative, submit work and ask for help. This engagement also allows retail brands to catalogue the performance of every store associate, as it becomes the de facto portal for all the communication and instruction they need to do their work. This applies to all team members whether hourly or full time as it can record every piece of work they do. Workers have access to this data and can see their progress (great for incentivising them). As their record builds, brands have access to a database of work carried out and by whom. As retail brands scale for peak trading events, the Concrete database identifies workers that perform well, allowing brands to recruit them again. For the store workers that really want to forge a career in retail, the application empowers them to be recognised for their quality and time served, and be offered more work by the brand.
