At Invafresh we use our bespoke platform to improve the speed and accuracy of checking food that is due to go out of life. This delivers significant improvements in margins, labour and waste. The platform is being used by many retailers across the world already to great effect. There are 2 key parts of the platform to note: - Semafor intelligently improves the process for checking products date of expiry. The logic ensures only product that needs to be checked is checked, and orders those checks logically based on the layout in store - The Invafresh algorithm decides on the best price for the product based on multiple factors This combination of solutions gives the retailer a faster, more robust and commercially viable way of dealing with reduced food.

Key Benefits

The key benefits that we have measured to date are as follows: - Reduction of 95% in time taken to complete date checks - margin improvements of 10%-20% on reduced food from the algorithm - The sale of reduced food increases from around 50% to 90%+ - Significant reduction in products found out of date on the retailers shelves This raises the opportunity for retailers to achieve their CSR/ESG objectives exponentially and does so with a very strong return on investment.

Applications

The main application area is in physical retail stores, dark stores, and delivery only stores. Additionally, we have Semafor Deli which also improves efficiency and compliance in deli areas.
