Background
Aditya Birla Group (ABG) is a USD 48 Bn Conglomerate with global footprint in businesses such as Textiles, Fashion, VSF, Metals & Mining, Cement, Chemicals etc. Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail (ABFRL) houses some of the largest fashion brands in India and has a retail footprint in over 750 cities & towns across India.
Challenge
ABFRL, with its increasing digital presence, has taken up multiple initiatives to give a seamless experience to their consumers shopping for fashion online. With over 2 lac style codes every year, managing the complexity along with offering consumers a delightful fashion shopping experience is paramount.
They have successfully implemented multiple measures to offer a near-retail experience in the digital space, both through their own sites as well as in the e-marketplace. This includes top of the line software solutions to digitally render and create fabrics, designs & garments as accurate to the real one as possible.
However, when it comes to cataloguing and virtual display of garments the business continues to face three challenges:
1. Showcase products in their close to real form on a person (digital avatars) without having to actually shoot
2. A unified platform/solution that can offer both a variety of avatars (men, women & kids), at the same time render the garments accurately and place it on the avatars to make it look real
3. Achieve a real-life color, design & fabric look accuracy from digitally rendered garments as near as in-store
What's in it for you?
A successful collaboration could mean, forming a partnership to co-develop and co-launch the idea to market or a scale-up opportunity with various engagement models.
This is a global challenge and ABG is willing to engage with Start-ups, Organizations or universities etc. and solutions can be at preferable at least at demo/pilot stage of development.
