Summary

Background

BRAE are strategic thinkers, designers and doers, with extensive experience of sustainability, innovation and transformation. They work with organisations to imagine and implement ambitious yet pragmatic solutions designed to create real impact.

They are seeking mature, pilot-ready innovations that can transform how large corporations approach sustainability within their supply chains and operations, with a particular focus on reducing negative impacts on nature and natural ecosystems.

Their priority is identifying innovations that either significantly reduce corporate environmental footprints through sustainable alternatives or actively contribute to nature restoration and regeneration. They're looking for solutions that help corporations move beyond traditional sustainability to become genuinely nature-positive in their operations.

Challenge

BRAE welcome applications across two distinct but complementary categories:

Category 1: Sustainable Material & Product Alternatives

  • Revolutionary materials, products, or processes that can be integrated into existing corporate supply chains whilst significantly reducing environmental impact. These innovations should offer viable alternatives to conventional materials or products currently used in large-scale operations.

Category 2: Nature-Positive Corporate Infrastructure Solutions

  • Technologies and systems that enable corporations to actively promote, regenerate, or enhance natural ecosystems within and around their facilities, operations, and supply chain footprint.

What We're Looking For:

Material & Product Alternatives

  • Bio-based materials for furniture, flooring, and interior fit-outs
  • Circular economy approaches, turning waste into usable resources
  • Advanced recycling for electronic waste, including cables and office equipment
  • Alternative materials for IT infrastructure, servers, and data center components
  • Low-carbon materials for building renovation and new construction
  • Sustainable battery and energy storage alternatives for backup systems

Nature-Positive Infrastructure

  • Net-positive buildings generating more energy and water than they consume
  • Urban biodiversity enhancement for office campuses
  • Nature-based solutions to mitigate urban heat islands
  • Indoor air quality systems using natural and biophilic design
  • Carbon sequestration technologies in commercial real estate

Solution Requirements

BRAE are seeking solutions that are beyond proof-of-concept stage and ready for pilot deployment, with a clear pathway for integration with existing corporate operations. Solutions will also be able to demonstrate the ability or have a clear roadmap to scale for enterprise-level implementation.

What's in it for you?

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to showcase their innovations and pitch directly to a minimum of 15 corporate clients actively seeking these solutions.

Additional opportunities including pilot partnerships, procurement discussions, and strategic collaboration development may be available for solutions of interest.
