Background

Marks and Spencer (M&S) is a leading British retailer bringing quality, great value food to millions of customers around the world. Our food is known for its quality, freshness and innovation credentials.

M&S don’t own any food factories however work closely with over 600 supplier partners around the world to deliver our own-label products to our own specifications from farm to fork for our customers.

Challenge

Marks and Spencer are looking to hear from innovators who have developed alternatives functional materials that can be used to replace plastic for food packaging.

A period of exclusivity for the ingredient within the UK would a benefit.
