Background
Agriculture technology start-ups are once again being asked to gather their creative ideas and solutions and enter them into one of the industry’s most unique competitions: the 2023 Tesco Agri T-Jam.
Winners of the Tesco Agri T-Jam will get the opportunity to earn a potential trial with one of Tesco's supply chain partners.
Challenge
The 2023 Tesco Agri T-Jam startup pitch competition in partnership with LEO is welcoming entries from agtech innovators with solutions to support on farm measurement, data analytics and decision making and which address the following topics:
- Reducing GHG Emissions,
- Improving Soil Health & Resilience,
- Supporting Biodiversity,
- Improving Water Quality & Water Use,
- Improving Crop Health and Reducing Pesticides,
- Reducing Crop Losses and Food Waste,
- Improving Animal Health & Welfare,
- Predictive farming.
Entries are invited from now until July 2nd, with at least one start-up selected by Tesco, for mentoring and fast-track introductions to its supplier network - with the potential to trial the solution.
What's in it for you?
This event features agri-tech innovators pitching their most thoughtful solutions and technologies to a panel of judges, including a select audience of investors and agribusinesses. Overall, up to 10 start-ups will be selected after the application and vetting process to present their innovations at the T-Jam pitch day.
The winner of the event will be chosen to earn a potential trial with one of Tesco's supply chain partners, as well as getting feedback and mentoring by Tesco’s Sustainable Agriculture team.
The winner will also have the opportunity to present on stage at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit taking place in London on September 26-27th, with its audience of over 900 international agribusiness leaders.
