Background

The world of retail is constantly evolving and at Waitrose we’re working to make sure we’re always at the forefront of market-leading innovation and ​new technologies that will shape the shopping experience of the future. Waitrose Retail innovation is focused on driving the effectiveness and efficiency of shop operations. 

Waitrose are looking for companies or individuals that are able to provide them with direction, thoughts or solutions within this space.

Challenge

Waitrose are looking at options to deliver a step-change in in-store productivity, to remove tasks from shops, whilst maintaining or improving the customer experience and deliver customer service innovations that empower employees to provide a better service.

This could be within the Stock Management, Payment, eCommerce, Food Service and Hospitality or Audit and Compliance operation within shops.

Any proposal is required to include details on the task that would be removed from the shop operation, and examples on the impact on customer experience, including where these solutions have been successful within the wider market.
