Expertise

I have a background in genetics research and am a fully qualified permaculture designer.  Porcus People Limited has been developing a herd of outdoor reared pigs from rare breeds for over 15 years with a specific focus on environmental sustainability and animal welfare.   Porcus is an environmentally focussed company with animal welfare and environmental impact at its heart.  Porcus is a "pig to plate" company producing charcuterie, sausages, bacon and ambient ready meals. The company recently completed the global "Big Food Redesign Challenge" by The Ellen MacArthur Foundation with our ambient ready meal "Meal in a Jar" products focussed on introducing circular economics to produce an environmentally friendly product.  Porcus are also actively working on methods to reduce the impact of the farm and production facilities by the application of circular economic and permaculture principles.
