Passionate about understanding industry challenges and finding effective solutions. I enjoy the practical application of technologies for the food and drink industry. I have experience in an array of new and emerging processing technologies including High pressure processing, Ultraviolet light, Pulsed light, cold plasma, continuous microwave processing, RF, low water active pasteurisation ultrasound and more. I lead a team of 3 highly motivated colleagues and an industrial supervisor for PhD in plasma decontamination. I am involved in writing guidance documents for process validation, supporting British standards for UV disinfection testing protocols and supporting International UV associations food and beverage task force. I get involved with applying for government tenders and have an innovate project developing the use of cold plasma sterilisation for aseptic packaging.
