Challenge
Scotland is due to launch the Deposit Return Scheme in August 2023 and England, Wales and NI are likely to follow soon after.
The scheme works in this way. People pay a small deposit of 20p when they buy a drink in a single-use container and then get the deposit back when they return the empty bottle or can.
This has massive impacts on retailers and hospitality businesses, from the front of house process right through their supply chain and finance systems.
Leading Resolutions are already on its own journey to be carbon negative and are keen to help clients with this positive legislation change. We are looking for innovative ideas to make the process as straightforward, inexhaustive as possible and reduce the carbon footprint associated with this change?
