Mondelēz are seeking innovative solutions to reduce their total plastics usage in rigid packaging formats. They are open to explore materials, processes and manufacturing aspects that will enable them to achieve this goal.

At Mondelēz International, our purpose is to empower people to snack right. We will lead the future of snacking around the world by offering the right snack, for the right moment, made the right way.


Mondelēz are seeking material solutions to reduce their total plastics usage in rigid formats. Technology should focus on polyolefin materials (PET, PP, PE) or combinations of materials, with ability to leverage/embed recycled content. In addition to material solutions, we are also open to innovative technologies in mold design and manufacturing to drive towards goals.


  • Recyclable Materials
  • Cost effective
  • Compatible with standard conversion assets
  • Maintain similar performance profile as traditional solution - machineability, barrier, mechanical and optical properties
  • Materials/processes approved for direct food contact
  • Must meet regulations for all markets of sale


  • Complex and multi-material solutions
  • Materials containing PVC, PVDC or intentionally added PFAS
  • Silicone agents
  • Materials that imped recycling
  • Chemicals that generate toxic by products or hazardous waste

What's in it for you?

Mondelēz are open to Joint Development of ideas, work with partner to help to advanced TRL of an existing invention or direct material supply or application of technology (if readily available)

With regards to IP strategy, Mondelez would aim to have total or partial exclusivity and/or joint ownership for discussion on joint development. Mondelez requires confirmation of freedom to operate for direct material supply.
