Mondelez are looking for newer, faster and easier techniques for the permethylation of carbohydrates (oligosaccharides) that can be applied to a larger number of samples in the format tubes or well-plates.

Summary

Background

At Mondelēz International, our purpose is to empower people to snack right. We will lead the future of snacking around the world by offering the right snack, for the right moment, made the right way.

Challenge

We are interested in new permethylation techniques that do not involve NaOH-concentrated DMSO or require controlled atmosphere. One should be able to apply these new techniques to well-plates and large number of samples.

The permethylation techniques of interest should have high yield, safe, and less labor-intensive than current above-menthioned methods.

Late-phase development solutions and affordable commercially available permethylation kits are welcome. We are not interested in solutions that require an NDA at this time.

At this stage, we're open to solutions that are beyond conventional established permethylation methods. Initially, submitted solutions that require an incoming-NDA will not be considered.

In this space Mondelez is willing to collaborate with both individuals/freelancers and other industry participants/universities etc.
